What does the City have to do with it?

What does the City have to do with it?

Your commercial spaces are full. Your Leases are current. Why would you have to worry about the City? Believe it or not, a key component to successful property management is having a strong grasp of City regulations and ordinances. Those new window wraps the tenant just installed - may not be in line with the signage ordinance. Foul smell on property? Maybe the restaurant is not scheduling regular grease trap clean outs as required. Ensuring that tenants are in compliance with all aspects of City Code and Regulation brings benefits to the property on several fronts. A history of lack of violations is helpful when building relationships with the City and their staff. Activities and improvements that are up to Code/Regulation also help create a commercial environment that everyone can use and enjoy – neighboring tenants and customers alike.

The Stafford Barrett team has a long history of involvement and service with our two Cities. Several of us have served on Planning and Zoning Commissions and have also been elected to City Council. We’ve had the opportunity to learn about City processes and know how to navigate the various municipal departments. As a result, we can catch compliance issues long before they escalate to the level of cited violations.

There is more to your investment than just filling up lease spaces.

Let the Stafford Barrett Property Management Team help maximize your investment by minimizing your management risks.
